The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 2 continued its participation in the second day of the 37th Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, focusing on tourism networking, industry discussions, and destination promotion.
DOT Region 2 joined meetings with tourism partners to discuss cruise and dive tourism, including possible partnerships and opportunities to develop these products in Cagayan Valley.
The discussions also looked into the regionโs coastal areas, islands, and marine resources that can support the development of cruise and dive tourism.
At the DOT Region 2 pavilion, the Creative Nook continued to welcome visitors through a live demonstration of fossilized flower-making by local artisans from Quirino.
Visitors were able to see how the flowers are made and learn more about the craft and the communities behind the product. The activity also introduced visitors to creative tourism experiences in the region, where they can take part in local activities and learn about the culture and skills of the
communities they visit.
The activities continue tomorrow as DOT Region 2 caps its participation in the 37th Philippine Travel Mart with the launch of โExperience Baggao: A Destination Beyond Imaginationโ Tourism Circuit.
The launch will feature Baggao, Cagayanโs natural attractions, adventure activities, culture, and other tourism offerings, giving travelers and industry partners a closer look at what the destination has to offer.
