The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 2 proudly unfolds the captivating story of Santa Maria, Isabela’s time-honored pottery industry at the 31st Philippine Travel and Tour Expo (PTTE), held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on February 2, 2024.
At the DOT Region 2 booth, visitors are invited to partake in an exclusive live pottery-making demonstration, offering an immersive journey into the cultural tapestry that defines the region. This strategic initiative underscores Region 2’s unwavering dedication to championing cultural and creative tourism, integral elements within its diverse portfolio.
Esteemed guests, including Secretary Frasco and prominent figures from the travel and tourism sector, received a warm reception from the Region 2 delegation, led by Regional Director Troy Alexander Miano. The presence of Provincial Tourism Officers Joanne Maranan of Isabela and Aurea Martinez, Municipal Tourism Officer Rex Arao of Santa Maria, Isabela, and members of the Region 2 Travel Agencies and Tour Operators Association (R2TATOA) infused the event with local expertise and authenticity.
