The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 2 conducted the Regional Capacity Building for the Unified Region 2 Travel Agencies and Tour Operators Association at NGN Hotel, Tuguegarao City, aimed at strengthening the capabilities of tourism stakeholders in marketing, digital transformation, and compliance with tourism accreditation standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key component of the activity was \u201cTourism Marketing and Digital Essentials 101,\u201ddelivered by Ms. Ally Apple Allison, who provided participants with practical insights on strengthening their digital presence, promoting tourism products and services, and utilizing digital platforms as tools for market engagement and business development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity also featured an Orientation on DOT Accreditation, providing travel agencies and tour operators with relevant information on accreditation requirements, standards, procedures, and the importance of compliance in ensuring quality and reliable tourism services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity was led by Regional Director Troy Alexander G. Miano, underscoring the Department\u2019s commitment to building a more capable, coordinated, and inclusive tourism industry in Cagayan Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participating in the capacity-building activity were DOT-accredited travel agencies and tour operators from across the region, together with Provincial Tourism Officers, reflecting the importance of strengthened collaboration between the national government, local tourism offices, and private tourism stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
