The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 2 officially launched the \u201cExperience Baggao: A Destination Beyond Imagination\u201d Tourism Circuit during the last day of the 37th Philippine Travel Mart held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launching featured a cultural performance highlighting the Abaggaoan Festival, presented by performers from St. Joseph College of Baggao, followed by the presentation of the tourism circuit itinerary showcasing the municipality\u2019s natural attractions, cultural heritage, adventure activities, and other tourism offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative marks another milestone in the continuing tourism product development efforts of DOT Region 2. After securing financial assistance from the DOT Central Office, the Regional Office provided support to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Baggao for the development of the standalone tourism circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DOT Region 2 has been at the forefront of developing the circuit, in partnership with the Cagayan Tourism Office and the Local Government Unit of Baggao. Through this collaboration, the region has supported the packaging and enhancement of Baggao\u2019s tourism assets into a cohesive, experiential, and marketable destination offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Experience Baggao Tourism Circuit seeks to provide visitors with a more structured and immersive way of exploring the municipality while creating opportunities for local communities, tourism enterprises, and other stakeholders to participate in and benefit from tourism activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cagayan Governor Edgar Aglipay and the Local officials and representatives of LGU of Baggao, Cagayan were present during the launching, demonstrating their continued commitment to advancing the municipality\u2019s tourism initiatives. Tourism officers and representatives from various local government units across Region 2 likewise expressed their support, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the region in strengthening local tourism products and destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launching at the Philippine Travel Mart also provided Baggao with an opportunity to introduce its tourism circuit to a wider market, including travelers, tour operators, tourism stakeholders, and industry partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the Experience Baggao Tourism Circuit, DOT Region 2 continues to strengthen its partnership with local governments in developing competitive, sustainable, and community-centered tourism products that contribute to the growth of tourism in Cagayan Valley.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
