he Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 2 successfully conducted the final deliberation for the DAYAW Awards 2026: The Regional Tourism Excellence Awards on July 29, 2026, bringing together the distinguished members of the Board of Judges composed of representatives from partner agencies and institutions, including the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region 2, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 2, Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DepDev) Region 2, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 2, and the academe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DAYAW Awards, the region\u2019s premier tourism recognition program, honors exceptional individuals, organizations, local government units, tourism enterprises, and community-based initiatives that have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and meaningful contributions to the sustainable growth and development of the tourism industry in Region 2. Through this initiative, DOT Region 2 continues to foster a culture of excellence and encourage tourism stakeholders to champion quality service, innovation, sustainability, and responsible tourism practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deliberation commenced with an orientation for the members of the Board of Judges, providing an overview of the DAYAW Awards 2026 objectives, award categories, evaluation guidelines, scoring system, and assessment procedures.
