The DOT R2 hosted the conduct of the 1st quarter meeting of the CVRTC
The Department of Tourism Region 2 hosted the conduct of the 1st quarter meeting of the Cagayan Valley Regional Tourism Council, Inc.
(CVRTC) held last March 28,2022 in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The meeting was called to give updates on the industry to restart tourism in the region. The agenda included a presentation of tourism updates from different provinces and cities in the region, activities lined-up for 2022, and replacement of officers in vacant positions. The Department of Tourism also shared Regional Tourism Updates to the council officers.
Present during the meeting were Chairperson Ramon Jerry Cabalce, who presided over the meeting together with other officers and members of the CVRTC from accommodation establishments, travel agencies, tour operators, provincial and city tourism officers and members.
The CVRTC were able to come up with eight resolutions in support of the tourism industry in the region. The resolutions will empower the
different tourism stakeholders to bounce back from the effects of the pandemic.
The CVRTC is committed to promote tourism development, facilitate in ecotourism endeavors, and sustain cultural programs and heritage
preservation in Region 2 as reflected in the Constitution and By-laws of the regional council.
The Regional Office sits as the Secretariat of the regional council during
their meetings.
