Region 2 Delegations Triumph with Multiple Awards at North Luzon Travel Expo

The Department of Tourism, Region 2, and its dynamic partners from Provincial and City Local Government Units garnered prestigious awards at the recently concluded North Luzon Travel Expo held in Baguio City by the Association of Travel and Tours Management in the Cordilleras (ATTIC) Inc.

The highlight of the awards ceremony, which took place on November 26, 2023, at the CAP Convention Center, Camp John Hay, saw the Region 2 delegates taking center stage for their outstanding contributions to the event.

Best Product Presentation: Department of Tourism, Region 2, and PLGU Nueva Vizcaya

The Department of Tourism, Region 2, and the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya, were honored with the “Best Product Presentation” award. This accolade recognizes their exceptional efforts in showcasing the rich cultural heritage, natural wonders, and tourism potential of the region.

Senior Tourism Operations Officer Romeo Caranguian Jr., representing Regional Director Troy Alexander Miano, expressed his gratitude for the recognition. He emphasized the dedication and hard work put forth by the team to create an impactful and memorable presentation that resonated with the expo attendees. 

Mr. Norway Saludares, a resident Cagayano Vlogger, served as the Master of Ceremony during the product presentation of DOT-Region 2. His engaging presence and insightful commentary elevated the ceremony, creating a memorable experience for attendees.

Further enriching the cultural tapestry of the event, the Ari-Tau Folkloric Society took the stage with a captivating performance, showcasing the region’s cultural prowess and artistic heritage.

Most Productive Booth: City Local Government Unit of Tuguegarao

The City Local Government Unit of Tuguegarao was celebrated for its outstanding booth at the expo, earning the esteemed “Most Productive Booth” award. This recognition reflects the city’s commitment to promoting tourism, fostering economic growth, and creating an engaging and informative exhibit for visitors.

City Tourism Officer Gina Adducul expressed delight at the achievement, thanking the dedicated team behind the booth and acknowledging the collaborative spirit that made this success possible.
