DOT’s Asec Bueno Cites Region 2’s Tourism Industry Stakeholders

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – Assistant Secretary Maria Rica C. Bueno of the Department of Tourism’s Human Capital and Industry Development Programs expressed gratitude to the Cagayan Valley Region’s tourism stakeholders for their great contributions that resulted in the growth and development of local tourism even amidst the attack of the COVID 19 virus.

The assistant secretary, during the Tourism Awards Night following the day-long Regional Tourism Forum held at the Isabela Convention Center here on May 31, 2022, said giving awards and recognition is DOT’s way of giving back the honor to the Department’s tourism partners.

 

 

“Development in the countrysides will not happen without you giving us full support in the implementation of our programs, projects and activities,” ASec Bueno said.

She said the World Travel and Tourism Summit, an annual gathering of travel and tour agencies, airlines, insurance companies, hotels and restaurants and other related industries was recently conducted to assess the developments of the country’s tourism industry.

Gains in the industry, just like any other industry, do not happen overnight. These happen with hardwork and collaboration, she noted.

She cited the dedication and positive attitude of the various tourism stakeholders that kept the industry going and growing in the region.

At least 53 individuals, organizations and agencies were award plaques of recognition for their accomplishments in support to the implementation of DOT’s programs and activities.#PR/RTFAN/#15
