The unveiling ceremony, graced by the esteemed presence of Reverend Father Dante Sabban, witnessed the unfolding of a significant symbol that captures the rich history and milestones of the DOT-Region 2. The marker serves as a testament to the unwavering dedication and contributions of the DOT in promoting tourism and cultural heritage within the region.

Highlighted on the marker are key milestones, artfully narrated by the esteemed past Regional Directors, including the incumbent RD Troy Alexander G Miano, and the pioneer employees who have been instrumental in shaping the Department of Tourism since its establishment in the region.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by former Regional Directors Virgilio Maguigad, now the Director of the DOT-Office of Tourism Standards and Regulations, and Fanibeth Domingo. Their presence added a nostalgic touch to the celebration, as they shared insights and memories from their respective tenures, contributing to the rich tapestry of the DOT-Region 2’s history.

One of the distinctive features of the marker is the inclusion of the names of the present workforce of the DOT Regional Office, symbolizing continuity and the shared commitment to the Department’s mission and vision.
