This milestone event marked a significant step towards revitalizing the local tourism industry in the region. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formally inked during the event, signifying the commitment of DOT-Region 2, led by Regional Director Troy Alexander G. Miano, to support the Baggao Tour Guides Association in their journey towards recovery and sustainable growth. This partnership aims to equip the tour guides with the necessary tools and resources to thrive in the ever-evolving tourism landscape.

The MOA signing and package turnover ceremony were graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Undersecretary Verna Esmeralda Buensuceso and Assistant Secretary Maria Rica Bueno. Their attendance underscored the national government’s unwavering support for the resurgence of the tourism sector in Region 2.

The START-UP Packages awarded to the Baggao Tour Guides Association include essential resources and tools to enhance their tourism services, ensuring that they are well-equipped to provide memorable experiences for visitors.

This initiative is a testament to the DOT-Region 2’s commitment to fostering partnerships, promoting education, and revitalizing the tourism industry. With the support of the national government and the dedication of local stakeholders, the region is poised for a vibrant and prosperous future in tourism.
