DOT attends the inauguration of the Community Isolation Unit of DOH-CVCHD
The Department of Tourism, Regional Office 02 attended the inaugural ceremony of the Department of Health-Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development Community Isolation Unit (CVCHD-CIU) on 19 October 2020.
The building originally intended to be a blood bank facility was transformed into a Community Isolation Unit to provide for a facility for prevention, mitigation, preparedness, and confinement of COVID-19 patients in the region. This two-storey isolation unit has a total of 45 bed capacity.
Governor Manuel N. Mamba of the Province of Cagayan was present during the inaugural activity along with the City Mayor of Tuguegarao and the heads of the various line agencies.
Director Rio Magpantay of DOH mentioned the importance of the collective efforts of the various line agencies and the discipline of the general public in combatting the rising cases of Corona Virus Disease.
